Expected outcomes:

This project is to demonstrate that range lands in arid areas could be rehabilitated in an economical way by local community. In addition, there is a considerable potential for carbon sequestration in soil and plants in the case of participation for natural resources management and rehabilitation that would benefit the globe. 

In summary, the following outcomes are expected:

-          Rural Development and enhancement of living standards of the local community through self-assistance and rehabilitation of desertified range lands and using sustainable practices of management and exploitation.

-          Outcomes of CSP could be replicated in identical semi-arid areas of the country. Also, degraded lands will be used in a more sustainable and productive mode.

-          Formulation of a model on sustainable development that could be extended to identical areas of Iran and other countries.
